Tiger's Hole Descriptions for Dubai
« on: August 07, 2007, 12:29:04 PM »
There is an article in one of the new golf magazines (I think Golf Digest) that includes drawings and desciptions of three of the holes at the Dubai course.  To my eye, they looked good, with options, ragged bunkers that appeared to eat into fairways while still pretty playable.

Any other reactions?

I heard an interview lately where Tiger was talking about how much he enjoyed playing in the Open Championship because the courses gave the golfer many options, etc.  He said something to the effect of those are the courses he likes to play and that is how AN used to play.

Whether or not this translates to his designs I guess we'll see, but it was encouraging to hear nonetheless.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

How can Tiger Woods be as good a golf course architect as he can be and not study Pine Valley, Merion, and a host of other classic era courses?  What about some of the great modern courses?  Does he travel to golf courses to study them?

Come on Tiger, give me a call and I'll make sure your study of the Philadelphia School is complete.
