I think the whole deep south is in for a bad 10 hours sometime. How is our most famous conservative doing?

Down here in Corsicana we only got a quarter inch but the wind is still blowing at about 40. It's also about 45 degrees. I am missing my Gulf Coast upbringing where it should be 90 degrees in mid-April.

I turned on the weather when hearing the tornado sirens.....and was surprised to see them showing three "upper level rotation" zones right above my house!  A look out the window didn't sight any funnels, but we did have golf ball size hail, and my son was playing golf just a few miles away, so go figure.

Flying to DFW from LAX last night we twice started to land in El Paso. When we got in we found out they at one point sent everyone at the airport to storm shelters. It was also extremely windy in LA and a house fire in the hills looked like it almost got out of control.Played 9 thurs night at Lakeside in strong Santa Anna winds.Very tough with those little greens.Time of year to remember how dangerous lightning is.

Bizarre weather Friday night.  We were having a birthday party for my 10 year old in our backyard when the sirens went off, right around the time the party was supposed to end (6:30 pm).  If nothing else, it was a good way to get all the kids out of there on time.   ;D

The next couple of hours were interesting, but we were extremely lucky in our neighborhood.  Seems just about everywhere around us, and particularly north of us even just a few blocks, got hail, tornadoes, and other nasty stuff.  We got about a half inch of rain and about 20 mph winds.

Now, the weird thing was the noise we heard.  My wife asked a buddy of mine who's a SW pilot (Mike B., that's Jon Witten) what it was.  One person thought it was thunder but it was more like a steady low rumble.  Jon and I thought it was either a tornado nearby or just a huge outflow.  In any case, it was a pretty wild ride, and I am very thankful that we avoided anything bad.

Are you in the Arlington area? I have talked to several friends in that area that had the sirens going off around them.

Tiger, if you are talking Lou Duran, he has safely relocated to Southern California.  Now all he has to worry about is earthquakes and Ted Robinson golf courses.  ;)

Nope.  I live in Lakewood, about 3 blocks north of the golf course (just east of Downtown Dallas on the western edge of White Rock Lake).  From Mockingbird Lane (or just south of it) north, they got some pretty significant hail and winds.  I heard there was some nastiness south of I-30 east of downtown as well, so we must have just been in a lucky pocket.
