You are entitled to your (hopelessly flawed) golfing opinion, but I can't let you get away with that cheap shot on Dornoch cuisine!
2 Quail and Luigi's are superb dining venues, with excellent plonk and the supporting cast of hotels/restaurants are solid, if not strong (much like most of the holes on Nolrth Berwick!).

PS--Duck a L'Orange hasn't been served in Dornoch since Neil Currie sold the Bughfield in 1997. His version was pedestrain, but the Duck and Orange Consomme that came on the menu the next day was to die for.......
PPS--if you know where and when to go, the nightlife in Dornoch is also vaut le detour.
