Lou Duran,
If you have enough interest to pursue it your local library can locate copies of most any book in print and have them sent to them on loan.
The service is free.

Josh,

I am excited to see how your society and site takes shape.  Seeing as how you are finding some great info on Valley Club and other Hunter efforts, you are a capable pioneer of this idea.  The passion is definitely there as well.  Let us know when more develops.
Are you personally hybridizing roses yet?  Let me know when you are coming up to Meadow Club next.

Great photo, Marc. Is it shot by Julian Graham (who did the pictures in Shackelford's CPC book)?

If this website would have been around back then, I'll guess this picture would have looked like:

You guys are killing me with these rare photos!  It is actually kind of scary how good it looks.  Bruce Lee, Ben Hogan, Mr. Jordan Wall.

My guess is that H. Chandler Egan, being from the Pacific Northwest, invited Washington native Jordan out to Opening day at Cypress as an honorary guest.

Jordan,
Care to give your thoughts on how Cypress played that day and how great it was to be apart of that Seven-some.  JK... ;D

Sean and Jim,

Thanks for the info.  I'll see if our library is willing to make the effort.
