I had the good fortune to meet Philip Gawith down at Pennard yesterday. It was a bit chilly and we were hailed on a few times. The hail didn't sting nearly as much as handing over 4 quid. My mate and I were blanked in a £2 Nassau. Tom Paul would have approved of the fast and firm nature of the course. I think the photos reveal just how firm the course is. Mind you, the greens were not at a runaway pace - maybe 8-8.5.
