Aidan, I'll be raisin' a dark loaf stuffed into a pint mug pretty soon this afternoon, and thank you for your fine contributions here on GCA.
Let me take this opportunity to give a shout out to another fine Irishman named Mike O'Neil. He is a fine craftsman of bunker construction, and has worked on the crews of none other than The Bunkerhill boys, Coore and Crenshaw teams, and most recently, Tim Liddy in efforts of remodelling the Dukes course at St. Andrews.
Mike is somewhat of a typical well read Irishman, and took his undergrad degree in Literature at Iowa State, to go on to obtain a Landscpe Archie masters degree.
But, of course the love of the literature is in his irish blood and he has dabbled a bit in writing. I am lucky enough to have a rough draft of an Irish golf short story that he had written, and can only say that we should all encourage this talented (but overly modest) man to pursue writing as well as his LA craft. I assure you he has soul in both endeavors.
So from one Irishman to another, and another, come out Mike O'Neil and show yerself, you are a talented man.
