What are the preferred methods of taking soil samples (either to help determine old green and bunker shapes, for the sake of checking soil content prior to construction or any other reason)?
As I understand it, the most common method is to do a core analysis and test from that.
Are there non-invasive techniques that can be done without digging or coring?
How labor intensive and time consuming are the invasive processes?
