We had such a great time, as did so many others, at the Walker Cup in Chicago that my wife and I and another couple are planning to attend the 2007 event at Royal County Down.
I've been doing a bit of advance planning and discover, among other details, that Continental flies from Newark to Belfast which would really simplify transfers and travel within Ireland.
But here's the real news: virtually all the hotels near Royal County Down are already sold out!
If you think you might want to attend and not have to sleep in a youth hostel or caravan park, give Janice an email at the tourist board: Newcastle.TIC@downdc.gov.uk
She has us fixed up with rooms at the Kilmorney Hotel (I think) for 10% plus 2 pounds deposit. Well worth the effort.
Hopefully after the matches are over we will head up to Castlerock and mooch off Huckaby's cousin for a few days, then head back to RCD for a round or two.
