Is Everyone going to roll over for Tiger again
« on: June 19, 2005, 04:03:18 PM »
No one is playing any good at all, including Tiger.
Why can't players today finish the deal instead of wilting and letting Tiger back in the game.

Everyone is playing the same course....everyone is struggling...but Tiger made another putt and it's all a conspiracy.

With 5 birdies so far today, Tiger is not waiting for anyone to roll over.

Some fun stuff from Tiger at the end of his interview, referring to one of his infamous youthful indiscretions...

Q: Do you know the number of seconds Nicklaus had?
Tiger Woods: 19.
Q: Is there any scrap of pride in getting a second?
Tiger Woods: Depends how you get there, you know? ...
Q: So nothing good about it?
Tiger Woods: You remember what I said at Pebble Beach in '97?
Q: Second place
Tiger Woods: Uh huh.
Q: Dot, dot, dot?
Tiger Woods: Uh huh.

In case you don't recall, it was: "Second place sucks."

Johnny Miller recalled a similar moment with Jack when they were 2nd at the 71 Masters...Miller was happy of course, not having had much success up to that point, but Jack said a sarcastic "Big deal" when asked about coming in 2nd
199 played, only Augusta National left to play!
