RJ,

The early spring has meant a busy start to the work season, and I just won't have the time to make it to Sutton Bay. I was looking forward to seeing the course again, and to anyone sitting on the fence, do yourself a favour and make the trip. It is exceptional.

Well, somehow I got it wrong.  I thought Jason Topp and his mystery guest from the world of Twin Cities sports dropped out.  But, happy to say, he's back in.  His guest is not Randy Moss ;) ;D ::)

In that case, maybe I should go after all!

Wish I could. Have a great weekend, gentlemen -- filled with ignorant joy!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out as I told RJ Daley earlier this week that things weren't looking too good.  I managed to do something really weird and pretty painful to my upper back recently, and while it is getting better each day a few swings in the backyard this afternoon to check out how things are coming along golf wise convinced me I'd be lucky to manage even 9 holes this weekend, and that's assuming the 8-9 hours in a car getting there didn't make things worse.

I was really looking forward to this, I hope I will be able to meet you guys sometime in the future.  If any of you midwesterns find yourself in eastern Iowa (I'm in Iowa City) drop me a line and we'll hook up for a game.  Otherwise here's hoping there will be some other GCA gatherings for those of us in "fly over" country ;)

High winds, grass fire danger, highs in the 50's, lows below freezing.  This outing will seperate the purists from the wannabes.  I'm already cold and I am still in my office.  If we don't post after this weekend, please send out one of those St. Bernards-- with Brandy.

You might use an orange ball if the snow continues.

Very cool in the Upper Midwest today.

Current wind at Pierre, S.D.: 28 miles an hour.

The forecast for tomorrow:

Breezy. Partly cloudy. Highs around 48. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

I think we might be hearing some stories.

I am writing from Sutton Bay.  The group has played 36 both days.  For me par on the front side (into the wind) is 45 and the back side is about 36.

We played through snow flurries on a couple of holes today.
