Slightly off topic -- golf in Beijing
« on: April 10, 2005, 11:56:47 PM »
I have just relocated to Beijing from Singapore and I am looking to join a golf club here.

Does anybody have a view on where I could/should join, either from a GCA perspective or a "it's just a nice club" perspective?

I have played at three clubs here -- the Willows, Beijing International and Hua Tang. There seems to be a huge variation in price and quality (and sometimes no necessary correlation between the two). Hua Tang (a Graham Marsh design) was the best course of the three, but not all that special by Asian or Australian standards, especially given the membership price of US$50k or so.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated
