A nice place for a drink, and to watch the sunset is Rocky Point.

I don't usuaslly look in on these threads, but I happened to this time, and I will definitely agree big time with Pete here. My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant and watched the sunset and it was great.

L'escargot in Carmel..fantastic place to eat.
The best lamb outside of the U.K/New Zealand..honestly a gourmet feast, and if you are a wine person, I am told with some authority a superb wine list.

The owner is a guy called Cary and a super nice guy..if you go tell him I said hello

In some magazines this same restaurant is called Loutas, same place different name..long story..........

Oops, forgot to mention the Flying Fish, on Mission Street just off Ocean Avenue. Japanese/Californian. Best Ahi Tuna around, forego the pasta underpinning and ask for the mashed potatoes, a taste sensation.

Food, wine, golf and Hwy. 1.  You guys are killing me - just killing me. One mention of an iced cold Bud and I'm dialing up the Tickle Pink Inn for reservations. 8)

Mike:

I had an ice-cold Bud in my Monterey motel room whilst waiting for my wife to get ready for dinner the other night.

Want the phone number for the Tickle Pink?
