Aerial of the Day #40 - Updated
« on: May 17, 2005, 10:03:44 AM »
Figured this one was timely, considering the event happening
here later this week where some GCAers are involved,
including the undercard of Barney vs. The Artist Formerly
Known as Al Sharpton.

Not much color in this color update, taken during the winter,
but the biggest change is the restoration of the course
noticeable since the original aerial, very similar to a previous
Updated AOTD with such work done.

Take a minute to walk behind the 2nd green and take in the view, it's well worth it.
This is where the clubhouse was originally to be built.

This course has trouble figuring out which state it resides in. . .

Upon further review, the original B&W AOTD of this course was
also taken after Silva's restoration.

Also, apparently Barney may not be attending the event
partly held here later this week after all.  If he doesn't back
out of the other event he talked about attending, Barney vs.
TAFKAAS could take place August 21 in CT.

Although Ray Charles grew up in Florida, he was born in this
state of which he sang the best version of this state song.

Duck!

I see a Redan, a Short, and a Biarritz.  There's also an Alps down there.

Key Civil War sightline here.  Can see several states (and oncoming troops).

Originally known as Fairyland GC.

Scott, is the Biarritz at the bottom and missing the front half of the green?  And is the Redan by the clubhouse?  It looks the other par 3's are both typical Short holes.
