New movie coming out made by the badd spelars of GCA.com

Very rarely do I try to post non-architectural threads, but I couldn't help myself on this one.  This past weekend at the movies, I saw a preview for a movie that when I saw the name of the movie got an "audible yuck" from me.  The movie coming out October 1 is called "I Love Huckabees".  

Perhaps an independent movie, it stars Jason Schwartzman, Dustin Hoffman, Jude Law, Lily Tomlin, and "Marky Mark" Wahlberg.  I assume perhaps this was produced by former film guy Gyro and was named and is being marketed by our (apparently badd spelar [sic]) connection in Hollywood, Andy L.


I'll try to delete this thread later today.  Just had to tell everyone about the new movie about Loving Evil Leprachauns.

Scott:  oh yes, it was a difficult negotiation getting this done.  I was holding out for Brad Pitt to play the "Tom" role, but his sked wouldn't allow for it... So we settled on Wahlberg.  At least they got the body right.

 

Several people have emailed or IM'd me about this.  Rest assured my family is going nuts.

We've all decided now that Huckabees is the proper plural spelling of our name.

Jude Law is in this movie and is popular with the ladies, so he would be a good choice to play hunky "Tom", but I found out that Hoffman is to play you in several golf scenes on the teebox.

This raises an interesting question.  Who would be the perfect person to play Tom.  You would need someone a little short, a little heavy, very funny and always happy.  I would have to vote for Stephen Furst (Flounder from Animal House)!  Drew Carey could work as well, but he would have to lose the glasses and a few pounds.

Oh man, this could get ugly... and you guys are too nice so far.  For some reason this has come up many times over the years with my buddies - what actor would portray me - and the consensus has always been...

JOHN CANDY.

John Candy was too tall (6' 2") and definetly too big for
Huck.  His fellow SCTV mate Dave Thomas fits the size profile
much better, and kinda/sorta looks like him:
