Course acreage (partII)
« on: April 14, 2004, 05:22:43 PM »
As a spin-off to "how many acres does 18 holes occupy"
What are some courses spread across large tracks of land?

Augusta is always thrown out there expansive, but it really doesn't take up that much acreage.

The old standard, before housing developments, wetlands issues, etc, was about 160 acres.  But a lot of fine courses were shoe-horned into less than that.

The many architects who post here can provide concrete examples.
Some days you play golf, some days you find things.

I'm not really registered, but I couldn't find a symbol for certifiable.
