Staggered that the R&A would allow a video such as this to be produced and released on YouTube - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M_Le8SvQ0l4
Should the R&A be ashamed for allowing such a piece to be produced and released under their name?
Should they delete it?
In addition it’s staggering how a club of Portmarnock’s standard would allow it to happen on their course (guess they must be really, really, really desperate to hold The Open and will bend over backwards and in any other direction too to get it!).
They
R&A also released something similar from Ballyliffin recently. It’s here if you can muster the courage to watch it - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=va9b-Ixyd0o

Moronic! What's the purpose of this? Who are they trying to attract with this?

If it's OK to play three holes shouting off the top of your head, don't complain when spectators go over the top at a major R&A event.

Not really my cup of tea, but… so? Maybe they see themselves as volume shooters.

The bloke in the white didn't have his shirt tucked in, absolutely shocking. Heads should roll over this outrage.

Not sure if you’re being serious or tongue in cheek.

Rob Hogan is the Irish fella. He’s a PGA coach and speed golf champion. I quite like his energetic wild-man persona.

Has become a social media sensation apparently.

The vid isn’t to my taste, but it’s harmless. Carry on.

It looked fun. When I was in my fifties, I tried to see if I could break 60 minutes for nine holes. I enjoyed it, but only needed to do it once. Putting took longer than I thought it would.

The owner of my gym designs several of our workouts based on Rob’s thoughts about the golf swing. Speedgolfrob on Instagram is consistently entertaining but more than that, he’s right. I see no need to clutch pearls here. Theres a world of more boorish golf social media out there.

PS-Rob Hogan is also a stick, FWIW. World speed golf champ one point.
