Not keen on the teams ‘celebs’ and ‘influencers’ bit at all.
Firstly not comfortable with such a razzamatazzy event being effectively a part of The Open, an event full of history and traditions.
And why ‘celebs’ and ‘influencers’?
If, and imo it’s a big if, events like this are to be held as part of The Open then better for the participants to be general amateur public golfers, selected by say a ballot. Or maybe past Open Champions.
Not ‘celebs’ and ‘influencers’ though.
Seems like The Dunhill Cup comes to The Open.
