Dear All,

Having played Flempton a while ago has made me more intrigued by JH Taylor (Multiple Open Champion part of the Great Triumvirate) as a Golf Course Architect - are there any information about him and his works as well as design approach.

Cheers
Ben

Having recently played some courses on which he worked, I was also interested in learning more about Taylor's design portfolio.  Top 100 Golf Courses have a pretty nice summary, including references to other sources (e.g. Cutten's book) that you might like to check out.

Additionally, while it covers mostly his playing career, I can't recommend more highly Stephen Proctor's book "The Long Golden Afternoon" about the period of 1864-1914 in Great Britain.
