Marple Township is set to begin major improvements to Paxon Hollow Country Club which will include changes to the first three holes of the golf course and the addition of a full scale Driving Range. This project will also include major upgrades to the golf operations infrastructure. All 18 holes of the current golf course will remain open throughout the entire project.

Pax is great fun!  After playing competitively through school and college, I had grown into the habit of associating worthwhile golf with back tees of 6,700+ yards.  My first posting after graduation was in Philly, and Pax taught me what European golfers have known for centuries: that yardage means far less than quirk and fun, and that a sub-6,000 yard course can deliver a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Phil well said about the length of the course . I have said before that so many people play from way too far back anyway . Our driving range is right by the first tee and I’m familiar with most players at the club and it’s shocking how many play the wrong tees . A guy was on the range yesterday carrying his driver consistently 150 off the tee at the range then goes to the first tee and hits off the 6700 tees ….smh
