I believe this is a golf course that has been under the radar for Willie Park Jr. designs. I don’t see it listed on any of Park’s advertisements nor course lists that anyone has assembled.

It was a nine hole estate golf course for a wealthy barrister named James N. Greenshields, who lived both in Montreal and Danville, Quebec. The course I believe was built at Greenshields’ country residence called “Isaleigh Grange Farm” in Danville, Quebec and within two years would become the Danville Country Club.

I haven’t found much more than this. See images below.

Does anyone have anything else?

J. N. Greenshields Estate Golf Course article, Jan 1920 The Canadian Golfer magazine

Danville Country Club article, Apr 1922 The Canadian Golfer magazine

Danville Country Club clubhouse postcard, circa 1941

James N. Greenshields portrait, circa 1901

Isaleigh Grange Farm advertisement, 1901 Farmer's Advocate and Home Magazine

Willie Park, Jr. may well have the most uncredited work in the US.

Part of that is this "Ross mythos" and the other part I believe was the interruption of World War 1.

Constantly blamed by 8-handicaps for their 7 missed 12-footers each round.

Park Jr. was really busy around Montreal around 1920. I assume it is NLE now?
