When the vast majority lays up doesn’t it invalidate the allure of a short four? That approach is really a par three since most end up near the same place.

Two precise shots required for all players. Like 8 at Cypress, 18 at Inverness, etc.I think that forcing layups with irons to a wedge shot is weak.
