Bogey
I've played it a couple of times including shooting a 67 (par 62 ?) where I had to chip and putt like Seve. Just played Painswick this weekend and I'd say that Cullen is the only course I can think of that could put Painswick in the shade for quirk. Its by no means all great golf with a couple of blander holes up top but two par 3's in a row hitting over sea stacks, followed by another where you have to squeeze it round the stack with a long iron or wood makes great fun golf for me.
If you take it for what it is, you'll have a hoot. If you're of a more par 72, four par 3's, four par 5's etc kind of mindset then you'll probably want to go and play the championship courses at Aberdeen or East Lothian or Ayrshire. Moray on the other hand has a fantastic selection of courses that aren't necessarily great courses but do offer some great golf. Anyone coming this way, let me know and I'll happily point you in the right direction.
