Presently, the owners, who embarked on building a luxury spa facility across the street, purchased the property to take advantage of a sewage treatment facility, hoping to tie in the spa and avoid a costly and environmentally challenging septic system. The spa project has been hotly contested to say the least. They decided to close the restaurant and cater solely to weddings this year, but just pulled the plug on everything. They are stating they will put the property to private, family use. It is likely safe to assume it would not be as a golf course. Time will tell, but if it is closed to the public permanently, it will be a big loss to the community and the western Finger Lakes, especially those who live at Bristol Harbour Village. The area has had a very nice golf course in the back yard since the early 70's.
