Pinehurst #6 also allows quite a bit of conversation with the locals.

One of my all-time favorite wedge par 3's is the 15th @ Jumping Brook CC in Neptune, NJ (think #12 @ SHCC but no lake).  The course pre-dates any housing or road immediately adjacent to the left of the postage stamp green.

I only pulled one 1x off the tee and onto the road but when my employer at the time owned the place, we would get calls every Monday morning from the neighbors about broken shingles, siding, broken car and home windows etc.

Great little hole.

Costa Del Sol-across form the Silver Course at Doral in Miami
Bowlinh alley tight with condos both sides.
Used to live there and the the tiles were pockmarked from clanging tee shots.Probably explains a lot with my kids...

Was fun to play occasionally just to see if you could....

Arizona has a ton of candidates. Starfire at Scottsdale CC comes to mind. But the worst offender I think is Legend at Arrowhead, a Palmer/Seay design from the mid-80s.

It's absoluitely choked by mcMansions that are 2-3 stories and piled right on top of each other, which makes the narrow hole corridors feel even more narrow because the homes are big and right on top of you (all have small yards, all are right next to each other, etc).

The worst hole is the 12th, which is a dogleg right. There are some pines down the right off the tee, probably put in to help protect homes down that side. But they've grown to the point where now a tee shot has to start at the left side of the fairway. Fine for the masses who hit a fade, but woe to those who fail to do so. And very bad news for those homeowners who have their house down the left side of the hole. Even a straight drive down the length of the dogleg would run to the boundary fence at 265, so if someone tries to hit driver and gets over the top or hits a hook, it's crashing left into someone's yard or pool in a hurry.

How about Hersheys Mill outside of Philly?

Way too crowded in spots.
We have a pool and a pond, the pond would be good for you.

I have a few examples that have local rules against using Driver-5 wood off certain tees due to risk of damaging homes.

My father's course has a hole that measures 60 yards in width from house to house in the approximate landing area of a par 4 tee shot.  Average member age is probably 80 so the danger is not as high as one might imagine.

“Irons only” is a common local rule on certain tees at many courses in the Manchester area. Once rural courses are now hemmed in by housing on all sides.
