Sounds great.  I'm in....there seems to be a lot of non bag related stuff to sift through so if someone can tell me what they need, when and where I would appreciate it.

North Berwick, Scotland for location.

Cheers!

Tiger Stadium

LSU?

Is there another?

Yeah in Motor City!

Ben

Sadly, what was THE Tiger Stadium is no longer.  It was torn down for a few years ago now.  In typical Detroit style all that is there now of The Corner is an empty lot with the odd mournful Tiger fan hanging around with camera in hand.   Its amazing how small the lot looks and that 50,000ish was its capacity.  However, despite its stupid name, the new ball stadium is excellent.

Ciao

Was Tiger Stadium in Detroit once known as Briggs Field?

Ace

Si!  Tiger Stadium wasn't so until the late 50s or early 60s (but definitely before I was born-1963).  Before that it was called Briggs Field and before that Navin Field (I believe both namesakes were owners of the Tigers).  Folks even my age will remember proper Black and Blue division football games played in Tiger Stadium before moving out of the city to the dreadful Pontiac Silverdome.  I can't recall which stadium it was, Wrigley or Fenway, opened the same day as Navin Field around the start of WWI.

BTW My dad never stopped calling the park Briggs Field and even wants to call the Comerica joint Briggs.  I shouldn't be harsh with Comerica, it is a very nice park, but they gotta come up with a better name than that.

Sean, I am so happy that I got to see games in old Tiger Stadium, old Yankee Stadium and Comiskey before the wrecking ball took them down.  Also been to Wrigley and Fenway but I suspect they are part of the lore of the game and will survive.

Sorry for the thread jack, I'm in.

Ben,

Thanks for your leg....eerrrr...bagwork on this! I'm in for the SLX model in black, SINGLE STRAP, if we reach six. I'll buy two if that helps us hit the six required. Otherwise SwiftX in black, SINGLE STRAP, works. Might go for two in that style as well if possible. Just let me know what is needed.

Cheers,
Kris

Ben - I'm in for either model, assuming they each have dual-strap options and the sections are lined all the way down so the handles don't get all bunched up.  Thanks for organizing.  Matt

Two questions:

1.  I don't see another thread on this for confirming an interest to purchase.  Is there one?

2.  I am in for either bag(the lighter the better) but I desire a single shoulder strap, even if I have to pay more.  Is this possible?

Thanks for the effort.
It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

Im in for the lighter model and would prefer a single strap

My preference is single strap as well.

Hi All,

Single strap is available at no extra cost.

Will come up with a new thread confirming purchase and costs information - bag and shipping costs.

Cheers

Do people really get bent out of shape by double straps?
