Walking a golf course like Fishers, Maidstone and others that are on the water in the summer is about as good as it gets. I absolutely love looking at the coast especially when small boats are out.

Archie,

I'm up for a Winter Classic this year.

How about Brigantine, Seaview Bay (former venue), ACCC (former venue), or your place?

Peter,
If you get a chance to honor Tim's request for a photo of you in a sweater please make sure it's tucked in.  ;)

I like October as the leaves are turning and fall is in the air. It smells and feels like a time to watch an afternoon football game.

I’ve been returning to Southeastern Mass. the last week of September for the last few years which had been great. This past week discounting Monday has been miserable; nothing like a Nor Easter to put a damper on your outdoor fun.

The angle of the sun is another factor at this time of year. It accentuates the rolls.

Fall golf in the NE seems to be the best.   There is less of a crowd as there are kids sports to go to, the mornings are crisp, and you dress in layers so as the sun warms, you can shed them. Tee off at 45 degrees and its 65 maybe as you finish.  As noted earlier, the low angle of the sun casts a beautiful yellow glow over the earth, accentuating the rolls in the land.  Of course the kaleidoscope of leaves turning  adds to it, as well as all the movement and sounds of the birds and other animals as they prepare for winter.   The rough is juicier, the greens are faster and firmer, its just the best.
and ….Leaf rule!

Loved the fall days playing in the NE except for the LEAVES.Weather blown off the course or vacuumed there was always one to hide my ball.
