Scotland Between Glencoe and Inverness

Has anyone found courses worth playing along this line between Glencoe and Inverness.  I know about Boat but have played it before and was thinking about seeing Glencoe and then up directly from there next summer to Dornoch...

Fort Augustus GC is a 9-holer reputed to be designed by Harry Colt.

Highway A82, which is the direct route thru the Great Glen from Glencoe to Inverness, goes right thru Fort Augustus.

I have never seen or played it, so I can make no recommendation.

Detour to Traigh!

(Seriously, don't detour to Traigh....but maybe think of going there anyway. There may not be a more scenic & fun 9-holer in the land. I've never felt more isolated from civilization as I did there.)

It's a one-day detour, between the drive & the need to play 36 holes (since you've gone that far).

Another option is the new Kings Golf Club in Inverness. Formerly the Torvean GC, Stuart Rennie designed a new course for the club on a different piece of land that opened in 2018.

Again, I have not seen or played the course.

Don't miss the 9-hole (18 tee) Dragon's Tooth golf course, in Ballachulish, at the foot of Glencoe.

It's a blissful spot.

It actually opened about two weeks ago. I'm hopefully going up to see it next month.

I'm up in the Highlands in August so might be able to take a look.
Any thoughts on Inverness GC and Wick GC ?

Give Wick a go. Great drive up there and some good holes especially the ones that hug the dunes.

James,

try Fort Augustus which is a very pleasant 9 hole course and lovely highland village with some excellent pubs and inns centered around the Caledonian Canal lochs.
