It's always the putting

It's the putting after all! Whether it was Arnie , Watson , Miller and even Jack eventually the short stick leaves the building . The central nervous does something around 35-40 years of age on the felt. Isn't it the same with pool shooters too . The eyes have it .😞

I'm watching Tiger hit it better than ever , but he knows deep down that the putter has left him . Spieth reels off four birdies in a row and then inexplicably three putts and hits an awful putt on 18 .

Kudos to Phil that he still can make some at 48 , perhaps he becomes the oldest major winner ever real soon

Archie,

yes, I think it is the eyes that deteriorate in your 40s. You don't see the breaks as well so make fewer longer putts and missing a few more of the shorter ones.

Perhpas worth considering is that at the same time as folks as individuals have grown personally older over the decades so the speed of greens has increased.

What's up Archie? If it makes you feel any better, when you get to 60 you'll probably wish you putted as well as you did at 40  ;D .

Jeff, you are right but so far so good. Better at 60 than 40 but way worse than 25😘
