Every Sunday for a couple of months in 1926 writer W. Wilson Wingate selected a "hard hole" to profile, including some (not so fancy) drawings:

Enjoy!

I played the MD Amatuer, maybe 40 years ago, at CC of MD (Rogers Forge) and thought the fourteenth hole was one of the best holes I've ever played. I'm not sure it's still the 14th and I don't remember the rest of the course but when I think of the best holes I've played this one still comes to mind.
