What are the already existing courses like near higher profile and moderns that are oft mentioned herein?

Eg, and there will be others.

King Island G&BC - for Cape Wickham
Bridport GC - for the Tasmanian duo of BD and LF
Mangawhai GC - for Tara Iti

Just curious.

Leasowe with Wallasey or Royal Liverpool

Unassuming Leasowe sits bang next door to Wallasey and is a couple of miles from Hoylake. It is nowhere near the same quality of either but is a genuine links course with lovely turf, proper revetted bunkers, and some memorable holes.

I dropped by earlier this year while working nearby and with an hour or so to spare. I paid £10 twilight.

I only played 11 holes due to pressure of time and the fact that the rest of the back nine looked to be on rather duller land away from the dunes. Even so, it was a tenner well spent!
