Shorties

Guys,

Has there been a topic thread relating to short par-3 holes (~ 100 yards)?

I thought there had but haven't been able to locate one in the search facility.

If any of you know of a really good ~ 100 yard par-3 let me know where with photos if possible.....

Cheers,

Neil.

I did a blog post on the topic Neil, based on a Ben Crenshaw list.

Not all under 100 yards, but there are some.  Folks on social media chipped in quite a few of their favorites as well.

Hope this helps.

I am building 6 currently — Mountain Shadows, Paradise Valley, Arizona. They are part of what will be one of the only higher-end public play 18-hole par-3s in the U.S.  65, 70, 75, 85, 90 and 95 yards.

Love those real short ones, Forrest. I used to play the par 3 course at Aguila with my wife a lot and there's a vexing little hole there that's 66 yards but with a bunker in front and pretty shallow green. There's a reason I never try to lay up to that distance ...

Augila is where I used to take my daughter (then 7-12 age) each Father's Day. Fun. Good bad the City mows it once every week...greens every few days...etc.

Does 17 at TPC Sawgrass count as a modern-day shortie?  It's just a gap wedge or wedge for the pros these days ...
