That's fantastic! It will be a real treat to see the senior ladies play the course more as intended rather than the Walker Cuppers who turned it into a pitch and putt.
Out of curiosity, why does a club like CGC who likes to keep a low profile and doesn't need the $$ nor is lacking for potential members decide to host a USGA event? Does the USGA lobby these courses into hosting or does the club let them know of their interest? It would be interesting to know what goes into making an event like this possible.
