So right now it looks like the answer is both....one prominent, one, not so much.
 
P.S.  However, sans Midwest gunch everywhere, the Perry Maxwell connection might be suspect!  ;)

The Maxwell connection is plausible. He did work in the Philly region at both Gulph Mills and Philly C.C.  Also, didn't he complete the alternate 8th and 9th greens at PV?
