Oakmont CC in Glendale,CA just wrapped up a turf removal program that allowed them to remove and renovate some turf locations while also getting some considerable offsets from the local water authority.  It is getting pretty bad out here with the drought conditions and this is a great move by clubs that can take advantage of what the utilities are offering. I played here with the Emperor a few years ago. While there isn't much Behr left, Curley did an admirable job. I think it's great move in what the club is doing to save water. It's getting pretty bleak out here as far as water.
