Where is Mucci's Santa radar?
What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--

Happy Holidays to you Melvyn!

Mr. Cirba...priceless!

That beautiful silver belt pictured at the base of the Auld Jug is the perfect prototype for the custom seatbelts I hear will be a special order item for the Club Car "All Dunes" Links Edition being hand crafted for MHM's personal use for his play in 2011! It will be complete with detachable GPS and an aerial-mounted windsock, with digital readout, included in the Rommel Package.  Santa(walking only) will also be stuffing his stocking with a 800 quid voucher for a cart-girl catered GCA shindig, complete with Old Daw look-alike, serving ginger beer to celebrate his finally embracing the modern game and all the wonderful accoutrements that aid our diminished skills.  ;D ;D  :o:o 8) 8)

Baaaaahhhh HUMBUG!!!!  Yes Melvyn, I said it for you. Keeping enjoying the game your way! In the end, so long as we take care of and enjoy golf, the company of others and some good cheer after the round...it's all good in my book.
"I said in a talk at the Dunhill Tournament in St. Andrews a few years back that I thought any of the caddies I'd had that week would probably make a good golf course architect. We all want to ask golfers of all abilities to get more out of their games -caddies do that for a living." T.Doak

Thank you, Melvyn - and the same to you and yours.

And, in memory of Old Tom Morris, here is a blessing that he may have heard or said himself so many years ago:

May the blessing of light be on you, light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire,
so that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it.
And may light shine out of the two eyes of you,
like a candle set in the window of a house,
bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm.
And may the blessing of the rain be on you,
may it beat upon your Spirit and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines,
and sometimes a star.
And may the blessing of the earth be on you, soft under your feet
as you pass along the roads, soft under you as you lie out on it,
tired at the end of day; and may it rest easy over you when, at last,
you lie out under it.
May it rest so lightly over you that your soul may be out from under it
quickly; up and off and on its way to God. And now may the Lord bless you,
and bless you kindly.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you
