Of course, given a population of 1,000,000, Bergen County had a real lack of public golf course options during golf's boom times.

But more than a few private courses are closing or considering closing: Apple Ridge, High Mountain nad Edgewood all seem to be on their way out.

I would say that with so many golfers in such a small area NY/NYC/NJ, and a real lack of available public courses, I would bet that the public courses are doing great compared to most other public golf course in other parts of the country.
