Architecture Partnerships
« on: October 11, 2018, 10:26:29 AM »
The Robert Hunter got me to thinking about a topic to which I have given a lot of thought, but not in the context of golf architecture.  I have found the most successful partnerships are where the people have different strengths and weaknesses, but not such different personalities and outlooks on life that they cannot communicate effectively.  And of course a key component is that they have enough ego to be confident in their views but not so much as to be unwilling to open up to criticisms and counter views.

Do these observations hold in terms of MacKenzie's partnerships or other successful golf course architecture partnerships?
