For what it's worth, everything I have heard about the new renovation is that it's incredible.

Lets try and keep this rational.  It's not incredible by any means.

To the average muni golfer in Northern California its a nice treat.  There are 3 or 4 very good holes.  My favorites are probably the 1st and 18th. 

As others have mentioned, the greens are impossible being rock hard which is to be expected.  I didn't have any problem hitting the greens but determining the speed was difficult.  I was constantly 5 feet short or 10 feet past. 

To me the shaping by Frontier Golf was typical of what you would find on a Jones course.  They apparently told him to tone down some of the undulations on some of the greens but a few are still fairly severe. 

I doubt I will go back except for the food in the clubhouse which may be the best of any course on the 17 mile drive.

I'm playing it again on Monday.  I agree it's not "incredible."  Much improved, but not incredible.  And I also agree the food is the best part of the experience.
