Oldie but goodie. One more reason to like Jack, as if anyone needs another.

That's even better than the SWWOG match at Olympic Club, where Jack him like a dog.  Go Johnny go!

An argument for speedy play as well - wow, did he even take 5 seconds to read that?

I've seen that several times.  But I had to watch it again.  One of the great scenes from golf lore!

Could the rest of you tell it was going twenty feet past (which would have added to slow play) if it didn't hit the hole?

The only reason it held that line was the specific, incorrect pace.

I would like to see Johnny's chip shot, for a reference point, although I wouldn't like to see the damage to the green.

We all know that both Johnny and Jack know Jack-Mucho, when it comes to competitive golf. And we know that Jack knows Jack-Mucho when it comes to architecture, thanks to his Long Island project with GCA Discussion Group's TD.

Ron,

First - it didn't go by the hole...  ;D

...and second - JN didn't want to give anyone else the idea of using a wedge on the green.  ;)

Aside from the hilarity of seeing Milller look dopey, that green is not something I would want to play on a regular basis.

I thought Jack got over his Humpty Dumpty phase in the 90's.  I am not a fan
