Sagebrush Outing August 15-16
« on: July 31, 2013, 02:09:59 PM »
Changed dates to Thursday 15, Friday 16
Sagebrush has a charity event on Saturday so the dates of my trip are moved forward. Bob Jenkins will be joining Friday golf
I'm planning to head up to Sagebrush (Quilchena, BC) sometime around those days because my home club is tied up with it's Member Guest.
Dates around that weekend are flexible. As a posse member at Sagebrush I can have three accompanied guests. If anyone is interested in playing (I usually do two rounds a day, cart assisted) please let me know. I have not yet made golf or lodging arrangements.

For those who have been there (but not this year), the three cottages below the pro yurt are open, dinner has moved to the cottage's patio, unless a request is made for The Hideout, the Badlands (himalaya's style lighted putting course) is open, and breakfast is provided to overnight guests.

For those with fiscal restraints golf is $150 a day (inlcudes unlimited golf, unlimited cart, lunch). Shared lodging in Merriitt (about 15 minutes away)is about $60/person/night. Quilchena Hotel is next door, don't know if rooms are available). Lodging details at the club's cottages available upon request.

For those that have not been there, I can say it is well worth the trip and if you have the time, I would highly recommend this invitation. It is a FANTASTIC golf experience.

Been to Sagebrush twice and it was unlike any other golf experience I have had, and in a good way.  Firm and fast is putting it mildly, and the Hideout (after the 12th if I remember correctly) is one of the greatest concepts in golf I've ever seen.  What a wonderful destination Sagebrush is.

Sagebrush is hosting a fundrasing tournamnt for the local junior hockey team (Merritt Centennials) on Saturday, so my trip's golf days are now Thursday (15th) and Friday (16th).  Bob Jenkins ia joing golf on Friday.

Another "improvement" is a cell phone tower.
