Golf equipment of the pros
« on: July 05, 2013, 06:06:16 PM »
Off topic, but does anybody know where I can find a site that lists all current golfers (say, top 50), and their respective equipment brand used?  Preferably, driver through ball.

John B. -

GolfWRX "What's In The Bag" will give you what the weekly PGA Tour winner was playing with each week. Hope it helps.

The GolfWRX people are as geeky around equipment as we are with GCA.  Maybe even more so.  :)

Is it possible to be a Christian and a Muslim?

Is it possible to root for both the Yankees and the Red Sox?

Can you be a member of the Tea Party and the Communist Party?

You've got to give one of them up...(and probably seek some sort of counselling).
Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

The one BIG difference being that GolfWRX isn't run by a flaming a-hole with the dictatorial style of Idi Amin.

That said, I enjoyed watching all the histrionics from the sidelines and still use a BSG driver headcover most of the time.

I used to spend hourson BSG devouring all the info on clubs- tour clubs they claimed. I didn't think Big Hitter was involved with BSG anymore but Incould easily be mistaken. I used to be on GolfWRX alot too but not so much anymore. GCA is more my speed. I don't relate well to all those guys who fly it 280 with their 3 wd! I like to run my ball along the ground every chance I get!

I was a big-time participant in BSG during the golden years as Sam mentioned ( back before the "server change").  I would still like to know the real story.  At any rate, these guys would speak of these tour only clubs that would always launch at the optimal angle with minimal spin.  Always, and I mean always carry a minimum of 300 yards.  Some of it was quite comical.  It was great fun to keep up with while I was traveling overseas.

I am more like Tom these days.  I enjoy it here more.  I am learning all about some out of the way courses.  When I first joined, I went and played with Mac and Wade.  Mac and I played hickories, and Wade played persimmon.  Wade asked me what my bucket list was.  I said, "Augusta National".  He said, "that's it"?  Well, after two years here, let's just say it's a bit longer now!

Agree w Sam. Remember the Callaway factory tour?

John B, keep in mind probably 90+ percent of what's on those lists are not what you would be buying. Don't confuse flogger equipment with golf equipment. Flog is not the game you and I play and therefore the equipment used to play flog is not made available to you and me.

This may or may not have anything to do with your interest but my new years resolution is to make this point every chance I can.

GC7 would spread libelous rumors about me on that site. Perfect example why we need full names here.

GC7 was always on there talking about going back to hickories, wrong site for that.
