Myopia goes pretty much from firm fairway to regular rough.

Though I guess you could say the "first cut" is the regular rough (3" long) between fairway and long grass (12"+).
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

Our nine hole course, Spring Creek, goes from fairway to primary rough. In the spring it is a very severe penalty for slight misses, most of which are shots that initially landed in the fairway and ran off. It has always been my understanding that the first cut was to mitigate the penalty for shots that land in the fairway and run off compared to shots that land in the rough.

I'm fairly certain The Golf Club does not have a first cut.

Diamond Springs GC Hamilton, MI

At Diamond Springs, every hole has the grass mowed to one height.

Milwaukee CC - the driving corridors are fairly wide 40-50 yds on most holes - if you miss these fairways you can't complain. Very member friendly club which presented perfectly earlier today.

French Creek

IIRC, Hanse wanted it that way, which was food enough for us.

We talked about doing it at my place at our last greens meeting, but it got little support/interest.

It's good to hear that they're open and looking good after that brutal spring weather.

Pinehurst No. 2 might be obvious, but there's no first cut out there.

Some of y'all have never been called out in bold green font and it really shows.
