Scott,

My mindset never varies. I always try to create the best possible result and if that means a little "dodging and burning", so be it. After all the client is paying me to make his product look good even tho sometimes it may not be in the best shape. You could take a picture of your girlfriend/wife first thing in the morning and we might consider that an "editorial approach" and I might create an image of that same person in the afternoon in beautiful soft light just before you take her out to a gala event. That might be considered an advertisement. Which one would you like to share with your friends at your local pub with your pals.

I am a firm believer in "prevention is better than the cure". This often times means you have to have a great deal of patience and wait to shoot another day. The bottom line is that my clients want to present an image of their club that entices others to come play or join the club. Representation to me is like Documentation. Everyone knows that it is a golf hole but does it move you? That, to me is creation. I hope I have interpreted your question correctly.

You have, Aidan, thanks for the reply.

Of course my wife is absolutely stunning to me from the second she wakes until the moment she falls asleep!

Aiden is one of the best we have. A true professional; focused, passionate and, as you have seen in the interview, refreshingly candid about his work. It is great to see him receiving the praise he rightly deserves – I’m only glad he works, in the main, on a different continent to me.

Mark,

Thank you for the kind words. Glad to share a few words and a pint at the PGA. Keep up the the good work but don't get too complacent as I will be on your side for the next few weeks. Join me in the Algarve for a few pints. Your shout this time.....:)

Aidan.

Aidan,

A wonderful interview and superlative artistry.

For the post-production photo of 3 Creek Ranch that you included in the interview, the pot bunker to the left was removed. Why was it removed for this photo and under what circumstances do you make similar "architectural tweaks" in post-production?
