Michael Brown was the talented artist for the Life Association of Scotland callenders. Does anyone know anything about this man?

Here are some of the calendar pictures "after Brown", from a recent show at  Manfred Schotten Antiques

and an auction at Mullock Madeley

Let's make this a MacWoodian Quiz.
See if you can name these famous holes, without finding the answers at the above websites.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

The third painting looks like it should be Co. Down, though I do not recognise the hole.  The fourth painting could be Westward Ho!

All I can say with certainty is #6 is a "cover" of #2.  :)

The only other observation I have is it seems in that day they tended to find green sites in bowls. Must have been a water retention thing.

Tom,

I only remember reading a paragraph or two about Brown in one of the auction catalogues. You probably know more than that already, but I'll try to locate what I read.

Bumping this thread to add a link:

I heard his name today on Antiques Roadshow and like his golf watercolors.
