Big Thanks to Rob Rigg
« on: April 18, 2013, 10:58:48 AM »
I read on the chapeau noir golf blog http://www.chapeaunoirgolf.com/chapeaunoirblog/2013/4/18/true-linkswear-co-founder-rob-rigg-resigns.html that Rob is no longer with True Linkswear. I'm not sure why he left, nor do I care; but I did want to thank Rob for what he did to create a product that has helped me love the game of golf more than I thought I already could. I will be a disciple of True Linkswear for a long long time if they continue with their current design philosophy. Good luck in your new ventures Rob. Maybe its time to fire up the walking only course here in Portland!

They probably let him go, because he couldn't hit a fairway with his driver. ;D

EDIT: explanation.

Robb played with me at my club and shot a big number. His next game was at Pumpkin Ridge where he played in sneakers, and shot a personal best. Makes you wonder. ;)

Thanks for all you've done, Rob.  It was your vision that led TRUE to where they are today and in effect, made all the major manufacturers take note and come up with their own version of the barefoot platform to compete in the new market you helped create.

An incredible amount of great work in a short period of time.  Best wishes in your future endeavors!

All the best to Rob and his family. He's a great guy with loads of passion for the game. I'm sure whatever his next move is will be a good one. As for TRUE, I was very impressed to see their booth outside the gates of the Augusta National last weekend. They are certainly a very forward thinking bunch and I know Rob has had plenty of influence in that regard.

What kind words? If I produced kind words it must have been by mistake!

Wow. This was high on the list of announcements I didn't expect to see.

Two thoughts:
1. When I think of True, I think of Rob. Going to be hard to separate the two. I hope you parted ways on good terms and I can't wait to see what you get involved with next.

2. I hope the company is still moving forward and moving in the same direction. I only have 8 pairs of Trues so if they are going to be disappearing from stores then I need to future proof my collection.
