More (not quite so) bad news from the Highlands - damage at Tain GC
«

I just heard that the 17th hole (long par-3) at Tain GC has suffered severe damage. I presume it is from the burn that runs in front of and then to the right of the green. Anybody know anything more?
See below for clarification. My apologies!

If correct, this is a really horrible shame. Such a terrific course, one I could easily play over and over and over again.
All the best to Tain GC.
Here's a photo of the par-3 17th hole taken last autumn.

Anyone know what happened specifically?
Played there in 2011, and #17 was directly into the wind, playing maybe 250!
Fun course, totally under the radar. Very glad I forced my brother to join me there for what was like our 15th round in 8 days.

Sorry for raising the alarm quite so loudly. It appears that most of the damage was limited to the bridge across the burn washing away. It sounds like neither the tee or green was damaged.
My apologies again for the misleading information.
