I'm starting my new Head Pro position at Meadia Heights Golf Club next week.  The club has been in existence since 1922 but I know little history is written or accounted for.  Does anyone have any articles, pictures, or even drawings that are relevant.  The 100th anniversary is in 10 years and I may be getting quite a jump start on it, but I feel that there should be more known about Meadia to the current membership.

Thanks!

Pete

Pete:

Only information I have is that it was once 27 holes (Par 73 at 6,379 yards and Par 33 at 2,444 yards) and one of the early pros was named George Chappie.

Good luck,

Sven

In the August 1927 issue of Golf Illustrated there is a pretty good article on the course.  Contact me if you want a copy of it.

The article that Joe noted states that an H.W. Brubaker (an engineer) was responsible for the "getting up and mapping out" and construction of the course.

Welcome to the treehouse my brother from another mother.
We have a pool and a pond, the pond would be good for you.
