Empire Post Media Offering Limited Run of Original Course Layout Prints by Gil Hanse of the 'A Fairway to Heaven' Golf Course
LOS ANGELES, CA, Apr 12, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Empire Post Media, Inc. (otcqb:EMPM) (pinksheets:EMPM) is pleased to announce that in connection with its E-book based on the English TV/DVD series "A Fairway to Heaven" the company will offer for sale 250 signed original prints of the full color rendering of the golf course, using the eighteen holes depicted in show. This original art work was designed and drawn by American golf course architect Gil Hanse. Hanse recently was selected to design the 2016 Olympic golf course in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The price for the prints has not been set yet but all net profits from the sale of the prints will go to the charity Jr. Golf. Those who wish to be placed on a waiting list for the prints can contact Empire Post Media at president@empirepostmedia.com.

The original two hour television show and DVD of "A Fairway to Heaven" featured the world's greatest golf course architects, writers and personalities selecting eighteen golf holes from the world's great golf courses to make the perfect golf course. Well known holes such as United States' Pebble Beach's 8th, Augusta's 13th and Scotland's St Andrews' 17th were selected along with lesser known gems such as South Africa's Durban CC 3rd, England's Woodhall Spa's 12th and Japan's Hirono's 15th. "A Fairway to Heaven" featured comments from golf legends such as Gary Player, Tom Weiskopf, John Daly and Ben Crenshaw.

The E-book being developed by Empire will feature text, interviews, stills, video and interactive segments in 3D. Production is underway and release is scheduled for early fall.

Some irony there, for me!

I helped produce that show when it was made, nearly twenty years ago ... just after Gil and I had built Stonewall, and he was going out on his own.  Spent quite a bit of time on it, actually -- I conducted a bunch of the interviews, got the panel together, and helped out with the filming at San Francisco Golf Club and Royal Melbourne and Durban C.C. and Hirono.  [The show paid for me to see the latter two courses.]  I asked Gil to do a map for them showing all 18 holes.

In fact, we just dug up a copy of the map a couple of weeks ago, when we were cleaning out our old files.  I think I threw it away!

But I didn't even know there WAS an e-book.  I'm actually very surprised that the show still exists in some form.
