Like #15 at PV, no ocean, no Stupid Trees (e.g. #18 @ PB) - just an all-world green complex that makes the strategy for the approach 100% critical (15 at PV even has more than that).

It got Tiger!

Question:  I haven't played PB in many years.  Is the speed of the green now too fast for the contours  as they were originally designed?

Either way, what a totally pure piece of golf architecture.

Brian,

A wise decision for everyday play on PB's part.

In the early-mid '70's, six hours was the norm before the economics of that problem created some action.

However, back then the six hour round was more a function of  excessive picture taking (guess who?) and no rangers rather than ridiculous green speeds.

TOC had the same problem at the same time and solved it about the same way.
