Ralph Livingston, a GCA member and one of our hickory golf gurus, was recently honored by the Society of Hickory Golfers.

Per the SoHG website...

The Mike Brown Award shall be presented annually to a hickory player who shares Mike’s:
    • Respect for the traditions of hickory golf;
    • Dedication to growing the game of hickory golf; and
    • Passion for promoting lasting friendships through hickory golf.

We all know that fits Ralph to a tee.

Congratulations Ralph!

I moved to the Grand Rapids area three years ago and was lucky enough to meet Ralph and get to know him a bit - and I consider it a true privilege.  He is a true gentleman and he knows more about this great pursuit than I will ever hope to...

Can't think of a more deserving recipient...by the by, anyone who doesn't have a copy of Ralph's exhaustively definitive book on Tom Stewart clubs can't truly call themselves a card-carrying GCA'er IMO....
